Our children need to be Sleeping like a babies!
It is very important that kids of all ages get great sleep to make sure that they will have a complete foundation for proper body and mind development. They spend the day running on the playground, learning at school, eating meals, and at night their brain and body needs to rest. While they are off in dreamland, his/her body and brain are very busy getting ready for a new day. That is why it is so important to give your children time to sleep.
Sleep is just as important as food and drink, although this is obvious to most, many of us don’t actually allow our children to get the critical sleep they need to develop and function properly. I don’t believe it’s on purpose. It probably is just because we don’t think about it. With parents working long hours, schedules packed with school, after school activities, and everything else we do in this hectic fast pace life. However, this causes consequences for a life time.
It is important to understand the critical nature of sleep to our children’s growth, health, and development, but first it is important to understand …

Healthy sleep requires:
A sufficient amount of sleep
Uninterrupted (great quality) sleep
Proper numbers of hours for their age.
A sleep schedule that is consistent with how they normally function
Believe it or not, their mattresses are essential to getting a great night sleep and allowing their muscles to recover.
Healthy sleep strongly affects neurological development and appears to be the right medicine for the prevention of many learning and behavioral problems. Children have higher IQ’s if they sleep longer. Great sleep equals all around happier and healthier child, and family.
As Parents, we need to make it a great priority to help make our child get healthier sleep, just as we do their safety, just as we ensure they eat, and we charge our phones. We need to put them on a schedule that will not need to change, make sure their mattress gives them the right support and comfort. The support will affect the development of their muscles, bones, as well as their quality of sleep.
